Right to be informed???

What is everyone's view on a non custodial parent removing a child from his city of residency for overnight visit without informing the custodial parent (me)?

What does your court order say? My ex is not allowed to remove my children from the state, but when he has them they spend the night at other people's homes and/or go camping frequently. As long as I can contact them and they get returned safely and on time... it doesn't matter. If he removed them from the state though... I'd be having him arrested.

My ex doesn't inform me when he takes my son out of the province for holidays, as long as my son is safe and his dad returns him on time at the end of their visit, it is non of my business what they do. Do you inform your ex every time you take your child somewhere overnight? I highly doubt it. Let your ex and your child bond that is the purpose of these visits.
