Hi, I am the mother of a 6 year of little boy, when he was almost a year. I noticed that he wasn't doing all the things that a normal child his age would be doing. So I mention my concerns to his doctor and, he me about an early step program, I register him, the speech therapy, social worker and psychiatry saw him, the program lasted until he turned 3 years old. My son couldn't benefit from the program, his attention span was very poorly. He attended head start at the age of 3. His attention span just wasn't there. His therapy suggest that he needs to be on a med, so he will be able to sit still and be taught. His psychiatry tried him on risperdal. A couple of weeks later, I noticed his breast were enlarged, so I told his psychiatry, I didn't want him on that medicine anymore, he prescribed the meds tenex and clondine, my son's shows a lot of improvement, with those two meds, he also takes fish oil supplements and gummy vitamins. He's now 6 years old and showing positive improvement each day, his breast area is still large from the risperdal. My question, is there anyone out there who's son chest area enlarge, due to risperdal.
