(rp from VBAC board): Successful med free VBAC story

After a c-section with my son, who was 9lbs, 14oz and called "failure to progress" at 8.5cm I am proud to announce that I was able to birth my baby girl at 8lbs, 11oz and with just half an inch smaller head than her brother at 14in, completely without medication or tearing.

It was completely worth it, and once you're past the pain of the contractions pushing feels really good and makes it all worth it!! I mean that - and I am just 5'2" and 120lbs on a good day. If I can do it, anyone can!!

My one peice of advice - get a doula. Her support got me through the contractions and on to the most amazing experience of my life.

Good luck to everyone attempting VBAC and/or natural birth!!
