Okay so Monday my ob said I was half a cm dilated, and I've been feeling a lot of tension and pressure in my pelvis. Would soaking in a hot bath help me dilate a little quicker or can it harm the baby? Or both!? (I'm due in 4 days)
Help meeee!

Thanks Sarah! I guess it's a little hard to be patient. I don't want to have to be induced next week so I'm really hoping for the best. :)

You can soak in a WARM bath if you would like. It will not help with dilation, but can help with relaxing. A HOT bath will bring up your blood pressure to much which can be harmful to both you and baby. And a HOT bath will do nothing for dilation.

Pretty much you just have to be patient. Walking can help, but there is no guarantee that you will dilate or start having contractions.
