I'm a stay at home mom and I have epilepsy. It's never truly bothered me until becoming a mom. My pregnancies were and always will be high risk because I have epilepsy. After my youngest was born a year ago I have had multiple seizures despite medication. In the last year I've driven only a handful of times and even those times were technically illegal I guess.
After 20 years of epilepsy I feel like I am only just dealing with it in the last year. My husband's seen me have seizures while pregnant with both children and he's terrified to see it happen again. It's so much more emotional than I ever knew it would be! I hate not being able to be the taxi driver for my family. I hate how much time it takes to get stuff done because my husband does the shopping or because he has to come home from work to get me instead of meeting me at places we have to be. We go to doctor and dentist appts together. We do everything as a family because I can't drive.
My daughter has seen me have a seizure - my worst nightmare.
If anyone here can relate please tell me! I'd love to have someone to relate with and who can relate with me.
