Hey, I'm a single mom to a 6 month old baby girl and I'm looking for some new mom friends. We love to go to SeaWorld, take walks and pretty much anything. Anyone want to be our friends? (:

Movies after 6 and you have to take breast feeding infant along you can forget about it especially at AMC theaters. PLEASE KEEP IN MInd THIS POLICY ONLY APPLY’S TO RATED R MOVIES FOR 6 AND UNDER AFTER 6!
Beware Mothers
On Nov 20, 2013 my cousin and I wanted to see best man holiday. When I invited my cousin to the movies I wasn’t aware that I had to tell her to leave her infant at home. I didn’t purchase tickets online because I had gold certificates that had to be redeemed at the ticket counter. So I go to the counter and ask for the movie the employee stated to process my ticket and he said “oh, the infant can’t go into R rated movies after 6 it our policy.” Going on to the website to look up movie times I didn’t see that nor was there a sign that state that information even though its 6:18 pm. Like any patron unknowing to this policy we ask to see the manager. The manager takes a min to get to us but, she gives us the jargon of kids cry and run around so that is our policy but, she could call her manager and ask if she could let us go in because we came all this way just this once. There presents a problem there are flaws in this policy and it is very discriminatory. 1) Only rated r movies 2) 6 and under only 3) mother can’t bring newborn babies. Flaws to this policy is you can still see anticipated movies i.e. hunger games because you will be find and won’t bother patrons with crying babies and kids running around. Another flaw is that is not fitting to the working mother that works a 9 to 5.
Coming home I did a little research on AMC website and with digging I found there policy but, who would do that on a normal day being an adult you wouldn’t go to rating information because you’re not restricted from seeing films so there is no worries. That’s where I found the policy and then I tried fandango the most popular movie ticketing website to see if it was clearly written and nope I had to click on age restriction which again a normal adult with a newborn would not do they would just purchase the tickets and be on their way.

What I feel should be done is that children 1 and above should not be allowed to rated r or special engagements movies. It needs to be in plain sight that the policy is the way it is on all websites and theaters. Time should be reasonable if you’re going to banned child and 6pm is not it. Please help me get this policy changed
