My 4 year old daughter was sexually molested by the daycares son in March and since then my world has been turned upside down, I lost my job because of all the doctoring, I'm still trying to find a psychologist to listen to my concerns, she is angry all the time and hearing voices in her head telling her to do bad things and to hurt me, she was so innocent and since this happened i have lost my little girl, she used to always be happy, I have developed PTSD because of this and feel it's my fault because I put my trust into someone who I thought was properly taking care of her. I'm angry with everyone and myself, I feel so bad for her and just want answers of how to deal with this as a family, everyday is a struggle financially and emotionally. Has anyone every struggled with this and what help can I get

I'm glad you have found a psychologist. I hope things get better for her soon!

It sounds like you are in touch with people who can help. Praying for God's guidance and protection for you both.

The police and cps is involved and a forensic center has seen her and there is an on going investigation, I lost my job because I was on my probation period but I have a case worker and now have found a psychologist in bemidji and will be going through a psychiatric evaluation

Since this was a home day care, the police and CPS should be involved. A forensic psychologist should have seen your daughter right away. When this happened and your child needed many appointments; the FLMA should have protected your job. You can take up to 12 unpaid weeks off and be guaranteed you won't lose your job. There must be a caseworker who can help you get the right therapy for your child.

If your daughter was sexually molested, how is it that you can't find a psychologist for her? Surely there are professionals involved in this case (child protection being one of them) who have access to these services?

I am very sorry this is happening to your daughter, and I can't even imagine what you are going through, but I find it hard to believe there is such a lack of support. Is it that noone believes you?

My heart aches for you and the pain you must be going through dealing with this. No, you are not to blame! We cannot protect our children all the time -- no matter how much we would like to! Although I have only dealt with this from a distance, I know you can get help and recapture life's joy for your family. You can discuss your situation with a Focus counselor at no cost to you by calling 855-382-5433. I have talked with them before and know they can help you find the next step. Please call them. I am praying for peace and hope for you, your daughter, and the rest of your family. God bless you and give you rest, sweet mama!
