I have a four month and 3 wk old baby. She's been coughing, has a runny nose and hasn't been eating much. I took her temp under the arm and it was 97.2. Is that too low? I'm a little scared. I'm a first time mom.

Don't rely on the accuracy of your thermometer! My daughter has had seizures caused by fevers so I have to be very careful and getting a good, accurate reading is half the battle! If the reading is below normal that hopefully just means she doesn't have a fever, and that's good! Good luck to you and your baby! "Tis the season" , might be a little cold and remind yourself of how you feel when you have a cold, crummy and not like eating. Hugs and fluids are the best and brace yourself, your probably gonna get the sniffles too! Drink lots o oj and try to give your immune system a boost.

Thank you so much. That was very helpful. I just get scared bc she's still so young and I'm new to all this. Always give her lots of love. I feel she gets aggravated with me when I do that bc she doesn't feel good and she just wants me to do something but I keep giving them. But thank you for the advice. ((:
