Hello I know I'm not that far I think I am about 2 months almost 3 and the first time Ive got checked it was not by my OBGYN and they determined that I am further than what I expected by the size of my babies head. Could it be wrong because I know sometimes babies grow a little fast

Yea your right I guess I'm just to worried I'm just in an emotional stage so I be thinking of to much I guess this is my miracle baby that we've trying on for so long. When I went it was from another hospital in the emergency room she couldn't even give me a picture of my baby when I asked for it. All she could determine was because of its head.

The doctor is only making educated guesses. If you only had sex one time that month, then you know when you conceived. You can't be farther along if you weren't having sex during that time.

As far as the baby's size, just keep talking to the doctor to make sure it's healthy.

Honestly... There's not a whole lot to know about it. We are told pregnancy is 9 months; 40 weeks. We are told ovulation is 14 days after the last period. It takes 3-5 days to concieve after intercourse... The reality? Its about as true as saying the menatrual cycle is 28 days.
If its 7 or 8 weeks, in the grand scheme of things, means nothing. A normal full term pregnancy is 37-42 weeks. You wont know when it will happen. Your body will give you a few clues... But pregnancy is one of those things where you wont know, and have approximately zero control. It gets easier once you accept that, and just enjoy the closeness of carrying.
There are apps that you can download that will tell you where your bundle is developmentally, what kind of body changes you can expect, tips on coping with various discomforts, week by week based on your due date... Its not pinpoint accurate, but it can help with perspective.
Every pregnancy, every baby, and every lady is different. Just go with the flow, enjoy your pregnancy.

Its scary because idk how it works, I'm young n this is my first time ever being pregnant, I actually don't know wheni conceived because when I found out I was suppose to been 8 weeks. I'm sorry I just don't know how it works me and my boyfriend been trying for years and never got pregnant. But we only had sex one time 2 or 3 days before my last period.. and when I calculated it my doctor is saying I'm farther along then what I calculated she was saying I was 8 weeks when at the time I thought I was just turning 7 weeks because of the baby head.

What makes this scary? That you don't know how far along you are? Or you think something is wrong with the size of the baby's head? I don't understand.

When doctors calculate a due date, they generally go from the last period you had before you got pregnant. By the time you missed your next period you were pregnant. So, any time you had sex during that month could have resulted in a pregnancy.

If you're worried about the baby, keep talking to your doctor.

How did they measure the size of the head? You usually count the weeks from the start of your last period.
