I am sorry but this is my first baby is a lame excuse....what's next? It's my first so I laid her on her belly, it's my first so I feed her solids at 3 months, it's my first so I put her in a walker (ever). Come on if you don't know; man up and ask your pediatrician or your doctor or research it. You already had sex, so what if our answers were "Oh no, the other man's germs can hurt your child?" First I think this is basic common sense, many women have sex while nursing, be it their spouse or a stranger....what was your real worry? How did you vision this harming your baby?

ETA: If you have sex with an HIV positive man, then yes it can harm your baby. Or if your partner has a cold sore (herpes) and he touches your nipples then your baby can catch herpes from him...
Too much rain on Halloween for me, put me in a foul mood.

I concur. What is it with the deleted account. You don't like the answer so you run? Really?

I really wish people would stop having children until they have some sort of understanding about how their own bodies work.

There is no risk to your baby an more than any disease you may pick up from him you could pass on to you baby. If there is any risk of HIV/AIDs stop immediately!

There is always a risk in a new sexual partner.
And the biggest risk to a baby is her mothers partner when that partner is not the baby's father, they are the group of men most likely to abuse and kill a baby.

How come you are with another man?
I can guess from the way you worded the question you are not married.
What happened with the baby's father?

Even when I had my 1st baby I knew these things. It's not an excuse for ignorance.

It won't impact your baby in any way, but please stop having sex until you become more educated on the topic.

So, having sex has nothing to do with your breastmilk.
Maybe you need to learn a bit more about your body. Please use birth control with this new man.
