Scared To Get Pregnant

It said to post a "good subject" to get moms to respond. :). Here is a little about my background and some internal thoughts that I don't want to share with anyone. I am worried about getting pregnant. Ok, so I am a very old fashioned young lady. I love cooking everything from scratch, I love family time, and I foresee myself with quite a few children. My husband would be AN AMAZING father. It is becoming a weekly conversation in our household about having children. In short, we are deciding to start trying in just a few months!! :D. I'm 100% ready to carry a child and I am 100% in no fear about the pain of childbirth (yeah, easy to say when you haven't been through it, right?). I'm a very fit and outdoorsy (hunt, fish, etc.) so pain is not what worries me here. I consider myself to have a high pain tolerance and am prepared to confront the greatest pain I will ever feel with knowing the outcome will be a baby of my own. However, I am worried about the actual complications of delivery instead of the pain. If I share this worry with my husband he would be sooo worried as well. I have this fear because when I was a teenager my cousin passed away during childbirth. She had a completely normal pregnancy and was very healthy and fit. A side note... her doctor was on vacation during her final checkup which, I suppose, could have captured that something was wrong. My other cousin has had a still birth. Other than that, there seems to be no pregnancy issues in my family. My mother had me at what some would consider an older age and all was well. She had a med free birth with me. I worry so much about labor complications. A good friend of mine had a very scary pregnancy followed by SERIOUS medical complications with her baby and we just don't know how long she will be with us . I tend to be a hypochondriac anyway and I guess I fear about a dangerous labor. Did anyone else have this issue? Did you fear complications during pregnancy? I know this is rare but it seems there is always something happening to someone I know! Is it more common with natural childbirth to have complications? I am just dead set on no meds, by the way. :) Thank you in advance, moms!
