Schwinn bike trailer as a double stroller?

I have a 22 month old daughter and I am expecting my second child in May. I have heard that a Schwinn bike trailer can be used as a double stroller even with an infant (infant seat buckled in, while toddler sits beside). Since we already own the Schwinn (purchased to use for biking and occasional stroller use), I have been considering using it with my infant seat instead of buying a double stroller. Have any of you done this, and if so, did you find that your toddler had enough room to sit? My Graco infant seat seems a little wide to fit in there and leave enough room for my toddler to sit comfortably.

Thanks,

Amy

I should add that I don't plan on biking with my newborn, just using the bike trailer as a stroller on the rare occasions that I need one for both kids. I don't plan on using a stroller often, I'd rather have my toddler in our single stroller and my newborn close to me in a sling - plus, that seems like a better workout to me than just pushing them both :)

I have an Instep one and I know a baby seat would not fit in it. Don't know how different the Schwinn is. Have you tried Craig's List or second hand stores for deals on double strollers?

I'm not sure how a newborn would fair in one......you can find some good deals on Amazon for double strollers and there's always freecycle.com.
