Does anyone have a teen diagnosed with Autism and epilepsy and taking trileptal for seizures? My son took his first dose of Trileptal and 2 hours later had a grandmal seizure that lasted 2+minutes. We were in the emergency room all night. He had his very first seizure (grandmal) in Dec. So he was only on seizure medication for about 1 1/2 months (Keppra). He was weaned off Keppra because It seemed to give him headaches all of the time and mood swings. Normally he is easy going and happy. he was without seizure medication for 24 hours before we gave him the trileptal. Please help. Any information helps. I cannot see his neurologist until the 23rd so in the meantime I am only getting information from his neurologist's nurse.
