What could I do in grocery store or where ever we are & she has a break down? The whole place stares & I hhaven't learned yet about patience w/ dealing w/ herissues yet, this is new to us she was actually gettin punished & now I know there's more to it.

First, you calmly remove her from the overload that has caused the breakdown. A lot of times, just doing that can calm her.

Yes, it may mean leaving a full grocery cart, or whatever, but the most important first step is to remove her from the sensory overload.

As you familiarize yourself with her condition, solutions will come easier, as will your patience level increasing. In other words, you'll do just fine!

She does see a OT. And the issues that cause the out bursts we do nt know what they r yet.

What kinds of sensory issues? Is she defensive? Has she been seen by an OT?
