Tried at around 5 wks, wasn't comfortable even with a c-section. It's been 9 months since my son was born and we have had only had sex about 5 times. Don't feel pressure, do it when you want too and only when you feel like it. I have talked to and many of my friends, can't be bothered or don't really feel like it. Sometimes it's hard too with your new role as a mom.

hmmm, does 12 months sound okay? I had a terrible episiotomy and took 8 weeks to heel. We did have sex shortly after that but my sexual desire hasn't returned, poor hubby

With my first - I waited 3 months I think LOL! But that had a lot to do with the fact that I hated my then husband. With the twins it was Christmas Eve - so exactly 3 weeks - I couldn't wait any longer!!!

with the first one we waited a little over 2 weeks (my husband didn't want to wait that long) and it hurt the first few times. I had had a small tear with the first one.

with the second one, we waited 3 weeks and it didn't really hurt that much (i did not have a tear the second time)

i know the doctors say 6 weeks because of risk of infection, but ....

they recommend 6 weeks for vaginal birth so the cervix and vagina has a chance to return to normal - No matter how clean your guy is there is bacteria he has on him that can cause infecction in the area due to your hormones not being normal and back to"self cleaning "mode

With my first, I had a small tear, but was quite sore, so it was about 8 weeks, but with my second, it was an easy birth, and I waited about 3 weeks and was quite comfortable. It really is a personal decision based on your circumstances.

We waited exactly 6 weeks after. I had a really bad tear and it took me a long time to recover and heal. Everybody is different tho! Whenever you feel you are ready to go ahead, then go ahead!
