Shaving, waxing or depilatory?

My daughter is 14 years old, she's fair but with dark hair. She has never used any hair removal products since she didn't really need them as much. Hair on her legs started growing about 1 or 2 years ago and she's feeling uncomfortable about it now. I've agreed on using a hair removal product but I really don't know which one. I want it to be safe.

Pretty much everything you can use is safe. Wax is painful and probably not for a 14 year old.

If you chose to go the old fashioned razor way, try to get 2 blades (now and days you can get like 6 blades but the risk of cutting themselves if higher) My daughter uses venus razors, they are 3 blades but it has soapy stuff around the blade which she loves since we only have a shower and it can make keeping cream on her legs harder.

Nair or neet are products most people start their teens on. It's easy to use, and needs to be done less often than shaving.

Other products, as mentioned is nono. It burns the hair follicle to stop it from growing. Some people say it stinks other say it's great. Or go in for a perm. hair removal/ laser treatment. Costly but people love it that they never have to worry about hair ever again.

I don't personally have any advice on this other than the typical hair removal products available but I want to share with you what someone else told me:

My best friend and her daughter both have very dark hair and were always bothered by it. Her husband bought her a No No.

I realize this is a costly product but they LOVE it and I'm telling you the first time I saw her after she used it, she looked like she had lost weight.

Good luck.
