When should I start shopping for my first pregnancy? Any advice?

Wait on the bras though. You may have minimal changes or you could even go through 2-3 different sizes. No one, especially a pregnant woman, has the time for wrong bra sizes.

Im just going to throw this out there... If you experience any anxiety about body image, size, whatever... Buy a few maternity clothes... Something cute, something comfortable/casual, something formal, before you dont fit into your normal clothes... As its not a thing we think about until it is too late, you may find maternity stores/sections scarce in your area. It can be very distressing to suddenly have nothing to wear.
Raye is right about the baby stuff, but it cant hurt to stock up on things you will need too.
Think pregnancy safe antacids, pain killers, pillows... Vitamins... If youre reallyitching to shop, slip on shoes. Those will be a life saver.
At this point, you have the luxury... Reason to be even... Selifish. Enjoy that while it lasts.

Shopping should start later in your pregnancy. First, you want to be fairly confident that there's not going to be complications during the pregnancy. If you want to know the gender of your baby, you have to wait to find out, and that would help with color choice (though you could go with neutral colors). You also need to know how big your baby is likely to be at birth. You don't want to buy clothes that are going to be too small, and waste your money. If you must buy something, get things that are going to be needed that don't depend on size, gender, etc., like blankets, burp rags, rattles, and stuff like that.

I would just buy what you need right now. I would also wait til after 3 months to buy something for the baby and also find out the sex of the baby. You will probably get alot of stuff from your friends and family. Also, if you have a shower you will get alot of gifts. Ask other people what they used the most. I also looked at reviews on baby store websites so I could see what other people said. I got a ton of stuff from my sister so if you have other people in your family that have babies they will probably be happy to give you their used stuff and you will save alot of money.
