Should a 14 year old girl should be reading fifty shades of grey?

I can't tell you all the innapropriate literature I read at 14. I basically spent my summers at the public library where I read romance novles, classic plays...etc. everything from Faulkner and Steinbeck to Harlequain romances. My parents would have freaked if they'd known what I read. Reading helped me through a rough patch where I struggled. Id talk to your sis about it more before id go to mom and dad

I'd have a problem with a 14 year old reading it. Then again, I'm 35 and won't read it. ;)
Whether or not you tell your mom is up to you and how you think both your mom and sister would react to you telling. If you and your sister are close I might approach HER (assuming you didn't already) and talk about the book and why you don't think she should be reading it. Her reaction to that conversation might tell you if you should tell your mom or not.

Depends on your family values. I may mention it to your mom. Then it would be up to her as to whether or not to do anything about it.
I personally would probably have read it at that age (if I was into romance etc and not a die hard horror fan) and I personally would let my daughter read it at 14 or 15 years old without a problem if she was interested in it.
