Should I be concerned about a 3-year-old having an erection in response to nudity?

My husband's cousin has a daughter (4) who is very free spirited and will change outfits and dance around. We don't see them very often, but when we do my 3.5-year-old son is fascinated by her, and tonight she took all her clothes off before getting her pj's on, and he acted a little strange, saying he wanted to be naked too when she is naked. He was pulling off his pants when I noticed he had an erection! I hastily brought him upstairs to put his pj's on. Is this something to be concerned about? Never happened before, pays no attention to his 1-year-old sister when she's naked and running around, and he's at zero risk for being exposed to sexual anything. Also he tells me everything, and delights in sharing "secrets" if ever anyone tells him not to tell anyone (like when his dad gives him candy.)

I don't think this is anything to worry about. He was probably just interested in being naked, kids like being naked. My son gets erections all the time, even when nobody is naked around him. He probably gets them a bunch but has his clothes on most the time...

There's no reason for you to be worried and it's perfectly normal for him. I mean I let my son run around naked sometimes (when it's warm) and it's not a big deal.

I am going to go with it being normal, boys do experience erections at this age and it is not a sexual response for them it is just their body doing it's thing. I am sure he wants to be naked because she is he looks up to his cousin and wants to be like her.
