I think it's totally okay to throw her a baby shower whether it's her first, second, or fifth. She's still having a baby and will still need things. It's also a great way to celebrate the baby and for everyone to meet her (that is in Canada anyways, usually showers here are done after the birth).

I think so because a baby shower is supposed to be more about meeting and congrats on the new baby then all the gifts. I think each baby should be celebrated. Your daughter will need other stuff that she doesnt have already. Maybe dont make this one on such a huge scale but I would still for sure do it. Friends, family and food are all great together!!!

Thank you all so much! I'm going to go ahead and plan that shower! I agree each baby is a blessing and I want to celebrate and let her know I'm behind her 100%! I also want to make sure that this baby knows his arrival is just as anticipated as his sisters was. Thank you everyone for you input. Alison that's what I heard too, that a second shower was not "proper". But if its a differant sex, she has nothing for a boy all girl things. So any ideas for new more progressive games ha ha!

I agree with all of the above except Alison. Sorry, Alison ;-)
Babies should be celebrated! I was given showers for both of my pregnancies, and was highly appreciative.
Plus, mom should feel special at this time, and one way to do it is to have lots of supportive friends having a very good time and celebrating the new addition. Go for it, Leslie!
