Can I take my 4 month old baby on a plane if I think he might have the flu?

What is Calpol? It seems to be a brand name for a number of different medications. always check with your doctor before medicating such a young child.

I'd be wary if he has a blocked nose and congestion. I have personally flown with sinus infection and it is one of the most painful things I have had to experience (and yes, I've been through child birth). It was honestly like my head was about to explode as we landed and I was almost rolling in agony.

Oh, that will be fine then.
Just before the flight try and clear his nose as much as possible with saline solution to reduce the congestion.
He may feel a bit more uncomfortable on take off due to the congestions o give him some Calpol 4 mins before the flight, and make sure he has a pacifier or a drink for take off and landing as the sucking will stop pressure building up in his ears.
Have a nice trip :-) x

Can you give a bit more information ?
Is it really flu or is it a cold ?
Does baby have a temperature ?
Is baby very snotty (mucus) ?
How is baby in himself i.e. tired and listless, or crying, or sleeping, or fairly normal ?
How long is the flight, and how long is the trip from door to door ?
