Should I take the nightime bottle away from my 21 month old?

My 21 month old son still uses a bottle at night when we cuddle before he goes to bed and has another one when he wakes up in the morning. The rest of the day he uses either a sippy cup or big boy cup depending on the situation. I know I should be taking him off soon, but it is hard to stop that last "cuddle" bottle and the morning one. Am I doing more harm than good with this? What can I do to make an easier transition?

What about just starting with one? Maybe the morning one, this way hes up and ready for the day and it's easier to take his mind off the bottle. I know its so hard when you're cuddling there with your baby at night and giving him/her that last bottle and they are looking up at you and their eyes start to close and they fight it until they can't fight it anymore. Thats why I think you should start with just one and have it be the morning one. That's really good you have him on the sippy/big boy cup! Kudos! Let us know how it goes. If the morning bottle doesn't go to well then try taking away the night one. Have a great day!

Thanks so much for the ideas ~ I'll try the a.m. one first. He's my last one so that nighttime one is going to be hard ~ probably harder on me than him though. :)
