Should my twin daughters go to the same school?

I have twin daughters entering 8th grade in the fall. One has chosen to live with me and basically has zero relationship with her father. The other one has gone the other way -- she chooses her father and step mother over my home (I'm remarried with a step- and a half-sibling for the twins). After fighting it for a year, I have given in and she is now living with her father. The one who lives with her Dad wants to go to high school in his town, but continue to go to middle school with her twin sister and step sister. The twins are not similar and often bicker or lash out in a passive aggressive fashion. One is quiet and introverted; the other is more mature and trying to grow up quickly.

Maybe it would be good for both of them to go to separate schools. That way they can be their own person and not "the twins".
