Should teenage boys have their girlfriend in his room?

My son's girlfriend comes over frequently and goes up to his room. They get under the covers and watch movies on TV. Should I allow this?

Its your house, what do YOU think should be allowed?

Personally, I didn't mind opposite sex in the kids' rooms, but doors were always open, clothing always on, and bed never touched except to be used as a seating area.

You are not going to get rid of temptations. Self control is in you already or not. If you aren't going to provide a place for them to do what they are going to do anyways, they will do it at a risky place where law violation may be involved or strangers may harass them.

We don't allow them in the bedroom. They can go outside to the porch swing or in the dining room or living room but not the bedroom. Why put the temptation there, there is enough of that as it is. Kids these days are sneaky sneaky, we have been lucky with ours but one little girlfriend was so sweet, but when they split oh she flipped and made our son feel like he was going crazy, even now more than a yr later she can't help but try and start things with him, it got so bad we had to get involved and so did her parents, she had people trying to neat him up etc, and her parents said their baby wouldn't do anything like that. I'm telling you sneaky sneaky!

My thought is why put the temptation there in the first place? Rules in my home are no opposite sex in the bedrooms. Whatever you are wanting to do can be done in either the family room or the living room. I make it a point to give them their space so they are able to not have siblings or parents bothering them, but they will be checked on from time to time to make sure they are kept accountable.

They are NOT just under the covers watching a movie. If you don't mind them having sex in your home, then let them be in his room. I would personally prefer sex in my home, rather them being risky somewhere else. But I will be providing condoms.
