should we teach a child or let him learn on its own, just protecting him from accidents ?

As a child is totally unknown to so many things, and ideas it is nearly difficult to tell him what to do and what is right. Especially there are lot of points where i myself become confused what is right, for example when he is angry , now weather to supress it or to express it.
Suppressing creates blockages, while expression creates a release. On the other hand suppression shows maturity and expression might create uneasiness to others. This is really difficult for me since my child is very sensitive and immediately recognizes my acts. I am seeing, day by day he is watching me how i am behaving and he is distancing from me.

And I have to ask.... how are you behaving that is causing your child to distance himself from you? How old is he?

Um... teaching your child is your job as a parent. Suppressing anger is not maturity.... that is damaging. Learning to express your anger in non harmful ways is maturity.... and it takes a LOT of work to get there (just listen to all the adults that threaten to beat people up... or actually act on it).

In our home.... the only currently unacceptable way to express anger is to harm self or others (including damaging a non living item).

Of course it is always better to teach than to not do anything.
