With seven kids in the home full time, and two parents, 5 dogs, 2 cats and a fish, I am pulling my hair out with all the different personalities in one morning. My kids are all so much like either me or my husband, and we have not always shown the greatest manners, or volume control in communicating. Well with my crew of kids, they all yell around and flip out, and have emotional melt downs over silly stuff. I understand, that if it is emotional for them, then it isn't a silly thing and that I should embrace a good teaching opportunity. Being only one person, I have a tough time with one on one interaction, and even finding reasonable solutions to some daily issues that arise. :(. I know that when they are all out visiting, or out in public without me, they are respectable, and honest kids. People compliment their behavior and their willingness to work together. I just wish they weren't so comfortable at home to feel the need to say things like 'shut up' or 'i hate you'.
