My son has had a cold (runny nose and cough) for the past week. Two days he got a fever out of nowhere and diahrrea. I've been giving him infant ibeprophen and that's it. His diaper rash gotten so bad his little bum is beat red and it looks to be rubbed raw with a drop of the tiniest blood. He lost his appetite but i still give him food it just takes awhile to finish. tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The Butt Paste worked miracles for me. My daughter has never had a diaper rash after switching from Desitin. After the first signs of diareha I would slather the Butt Paste on and it prevents a rash from ever happening !!

Give him things from the brat diet. Bananas, rice, apple sauce, and toast. This bland diet helps when having gastrointestinal issues such as diareha.
Make sure he is drinking enough water bc the diareha could easily cause dehydration. I love Butt Paste rather than Desitin to help with your baby's sore bottom. I would also make sure to have very frequent diaper changes bc any moisture will make the rash worse. I also use baking soda in the bath tub bc it helps dry out the rash. Use a warm wash cloth when wiping his behind instead of a baby wipe bc the wipes will burn!I'm sorry to hear your little sweetie is sick, and I hope hes feeling better soon! Oh, and if the diaper rash seems too sore or like its getting worse over the next few days then talk to your pedi bc it could be infected
