Has anyone tried their new formula Optigro? My 2months old is currently on their advance early shield and comparing those two, optigro has a slightly more nutritional value but I'm so worried that I would upset my baby's tummy. There's not much information online about them yet nor reviews. Should I just returned it? Long story short, I brought the formula at walmart and thought the cashier grab the original... But came home to see that it's optigro!

There is no nutritional advantage to the optigro line. It has less calories per ounce for your baby. The optigro label is just that a label/symbol to market the ingredients that have always been in the can. They have however decrease the calories by decreasing the protein in the product. As your doctor their thought on this is what I would do. Protein is so important for growth.

The only thing I saw was a few values were higher. However upon giving it to my son who had been on early shield for 6 months. He has had diarrhea after every bottle I even tried half and half early shield and this new stuff but no help. ( after the first 2- 3 bottles I found the early shield in the 2nd store I looked in )

I'm not sure what to do now. I called the pediatrician on call but they were not helpful saying try soy.. If I switch to soy he will still have diarrhea !!

This opti grow is not the same. My 7 month old son has been on similac sensitive with early shield for about 5 or 6 months and he is a great eater and sleepong thru the night. I have bought a can of opti grow and tried it with him and he will refuse his bottle screaming after about 2 ounces. And is also refusing his cereal now that has this formula mixed in. After about 4 days of fussy baby and lots of sleep loss, I found some original early shield and back to normal he went.

I just bought similac optigro from Walmart as my twins were switched from neosure... I had to do an exchange because I had back up stock of neosure. I don't save my grocery receipts so they do a swap out. However my 10mth old twins are now having issues with this optigro.

Is it different? Cal content is the same according to the label
