Single Mom of ADHD/ODD/Sensory Processing Disorder Son

Hello to all,

I'm joining this community to reach out to other mothers who might be in the same situation as me, or at least dealing with the same things I deal with on a day-to-day basis. I am a single parent, and in that respect truly single, because my son's father is not present in his life whatsoever. My son was diagnosed, at the age of 4.5 with ADHD, and that diagnosis has flowed into also discovering that he has ODD, and Sensory Processing Deficiencies. It is a continuous daily struggle to balance a full time work schedule, my sons school activities/needs, and our home life. I am looking for assistance with working with my son and ways that we can improve our bond and relationship. At best, he is constantly angry at me, or I at him, because we are always arguing about one thing or it bed time, what snacks are available, doing homework, how loud the TV needs to be...its a fight for everything, and I am just at the end of my rope.

I'm looking forward to meeting other moms who might have some good advice to share!

Thank you!
Danielle Cunningham
