ok so I am a single mom trying to revoke my ex's rights to my son, my ex hasn't seen my son in 11 months and has been in and out of jail since the last time he saw our son. My ex is now in jail for a while and I am meeting with my lawyer next week to file for termination of rights my lawyer is wanting to have my ex served while in jail. my ex has a very explosive temper and I know it'll be a fight. but i'm wondering what I can expect to go through along with court can anyone give me advice??

I do know that it takes a lot to terminate a parent's rights to their kid. Most cases they have to sign over their rights though they may still have to pay support. Also, in regards to your reasons for terminating his rights you have to prove he is a definite danger to the child, is unfit, and so on. The judge will look at all the things presented then make a decision. Your lawyer will be able to give you more information that I have and tell you what to expect and how you might react to it. Stay calm and cool. It could take a lot of time to get this done.
