My son is 9 with ADHD. I am Bipolar with maybe a bit of ocd in manic stage. I am struggling to deal with this newer issue of lying amongst other things etc. School and home life has become a daily battle. Creating Structure seems impossible. Does anyone have any ideas, thoughts or information tools to help me. We ate both also very creative and part of our issue is having a very haphazard home with too many projects and much too much stuff piled into our small home. Unfortunately I am not very good at organizing my space and when I do get somewhere my ocd kicks in and I will end up taking 2 hours to organize or clean something that would probably take only ½ that time for someone else. (Seriously labels out, closet color coded... Stupid ridiculous! But I always fall back into overdoing it every time) my son is lying about homework and was so behind but I had no idea it was going on (no communication from teachers) the crazy thing is he's smart and knows how to do the work but doesn't want to. There's no pride or desire. To top it off he was given a character award for helping other kids with"their" homework and he made the honor roll! (Even being behind with homework!) How do I get a grip on my issues which conflict with his abilities to control his?? I want to make things better but I don't know how. (The probably over detail in this message is another issue...I can't keep things simple, short). Exhausted and drained
