I am a single mother of a 3 year old little girl. I try my best to provide my daughter with the things she needs since her father is not in the picture. I am in school to better myself and my daughter and it is a struggle everyday. Christmas is coming up and even though I cannot afford to buy toys for my daughter I ask if any of you have any used puzzles or books, my daughter loves when I read to her so I go to the library to borrow books since she has only a few books of her own. I would really appreciate it. God Bless you all and if there is anything I can do for any of you I will try my best to do that, I do have some 3t clothes that my daughter has grown out of that I would give to another mother in need for their child. Just let me know God Bless you all!

Thank both of you ladies for sharing. I do believe in Jesus Christ and take my daughter to church every sunday I think that is what is holding me together because it is very hard and I feel like I am by myself because I don't have the support of my mother since our relationship has been strained for many years and my grandmother raised me up until she died so onced I moved in with my mother we had alwaus had a rocky relationship because she had men in and out of her life so it was hard on me and I had to basically raise myself as well as my little brother and I am not going to have my daughter go through what I went through. I show my daughter love and tell her that everyday because I did not get that from my mother when growing up.

I was a young single mother at 20yrs old. The father decided to stay in another country so for the best interest of my daughter and I, I had to leave and move back to the states. There i had the help of my parents and sister. II went to school at night and waitressed during the day and it was HARD! But you are doing the best you can and I'm sure the right thing.
You are on the right path to make things better for you and your child. It is hard, somedays more then others but you'll be fine and your child will have a good influence in you. Keep your head up :)

Sorry I don't have to give. IT Is difficult for a mother to not be able to give a child what she knows her child deserves. I can relate in a way. We didn't get anything for our son for his 1st christmas (1 + year old) except for a free stuffed horse we got from the bank. He enjoyed it. : ) I hope you can come up with gifts for her. Good news is, your little girl is very young so it doesn't take much to keep her happy. The most important thing to a child is that they have quality time with their parents- you- in this case. And that they feel their love and KNOW they are loved. A special date with your little 3 year old would be good. Also, if you are a believer, Christmas is a great time to reflect on the best gift-Jesus Christ. You can teach your child about that gift.

God bless you.
