I'm a single mummy with a beautiful 7yr old boy and little princess due to arrive in 8 weeks!!!

To say this pregnancy has been tough is an understatement of the year! Hypermesis, high blood pressure, suspected pre eclampsia, SPD, sciatica, pre term labour - twice!!

Im unfortunately signed off sick as its extremely painful for me to move, im feeling like this pregnancy has completely destroyed my body :(

Are there any other mums out there that have suffered along these lines and can give helpful advice as to how to manage the pain and keep spirits high enough to actually enjoy the remaining weeks .....

I have family/friends that help out as much as they can, but this has been a long lonely ship to sail!!

Helpful, high spirited answers are very much welcomed xx

Oh, and talk with your midwife or doctor about different positions you would like to be in for the birth. DO NOT deliver flat on your back, or you can completely tear the cartilage from the bone. Or it can cause long term damage. I delivered on my side. It was much easier to deliver for me in that position. Make sure you are sitting with your knees together as often as you can. Try not to spread your hips with SPD it can make the pain worse. I also used a hot water bottle right on my pelvic bone and that sometimes helped relieve the pain.

I had SPD, it was awful, along with painful varicose veins, I was in so much pain. Have you tried the belly band to relieve the pain of spd? It really helped me. Did not take away all the pain, but it made it so I could move.
