My son will be 10mths on Jan 8th & wont drink his formula out of his sippy. Water, juice, yes...

My 3 yo was off a bottle at 5--yes 5--months
and my 7 yo was off (when he was at my house) at 6.5 months.

Im doing it exactly the same as before...idk :-(

I'm not even sure if I have ever seen or heard of a child drinking formula from a sippy...

Wow! Taking a baby off the bottle at 5 mths? I've never heard of anyone doing that!!! I have had 3 of my own children all grown now, and I now have 4 Grandbabies and babysit two of them 4-5x's a wk, The baby is 11 mths to be a yr old Feb 8th and although he can sip out of a sippy cup occasionally, he mostly makes a HUGE MESS or chokes due to the flow being so fast! He only takes a bottle when he lays down for a nap or night time. Personally, I feel taking a baby off the bottle that soon isn't something you should push at this age, but that's just my opinion! His sister is almost 3 (she'll be 3 in March) and she still uses a sippy cup instead of a normal opened faced cup due to her not paying attention and not holding her cup upright, instead she'll spill it everywhere! Her Mom and Dad are in control of progressing her off the sippy cup, if it were my choice I would push to get her to pay more attention to her cup instead of just making it "easy" for the parents! Good luck with whatever you choose to do!
