Sister's husband is mean to my kids

I have a very close relationship with my family and my sister and I try to get our kids together as much as possible. Her husband has progressively gotten worse and is now treating my children poorly, even making my 6 year old daughter cry at a wedding. I can't trust that he will treat my children well when he is around them so I have decided to not allow him around the kids. I don't want to create drama in our family, is there the right way to tell my sister or just avoid gatherings that he is present at.

Why don't you confront the person who can't behave as an adult? Tell him that his treatment of your children is not acceptable, and proceed to have gatherings with your sister and kids at venues that he does not attend. Tell your sister that you don't appreciate his treatment of your children, and that you'd appreciate it if she'd make the adjustment so that your children can still have time together without the mental stress of their uncle.
