Skin Condition

My 7 year old goddaughter has a progressing skin condition that has been going on for a few months now. The doctors refused to do a blood test during the doctor's visits in the early part of this entire ordeal. Instead, they have been prescribing topical medications which are not working. She has peeling hands (looks like hardened glue on the palms of her hands) and feet. She has strep throat and pussy pockets developing on her legs. Has anyone experienced this before? Any recommendations for treatment? Is this a bacterial infection?

If the child's parents are not happy with the diagnosis & treatment she is receiving, they need to get another opinion. Perhaps a dermatologist.

However, you say she's your goddaughter, so how do you know that they haven't pursued other avenues? You asking strangers online if its a bacterial infection isn't going to get far. Generally, most parents are fairly concerned about their children's health, so I'm betting that they're doing something about it.
