My brother is biracial, His "dad" was black and my mom is white, From the pictures I have seen when he was a baby he was light skinned.. He only got dark as he got older and was outside and able to play outside he got darker... He is 7 years older then I am and my so called friends always made comments about how dark my brother was compared to me...
I know that the doctor told my mom to look between his fingers and however dark the skin between was is how dark my brother would be... Not really sure if it is true, but my brother is a light to medium mocha color as he says... LOL...

DNA has a funny way of coming out in people especially when there is genetics of different races that are mixed. It really depends on the genes that are dominate in the child who is born. Some are as dark as one parent, white as the other, or a good mix in between. We can not determine what color skin tone our kids will have because we do not know what genes will be dominate or not. I have heard tell of people who for generations were of light complexion and then have a child or children of darker complexions. I was told by my former mother in law that because the family did not know the extent of Native American members in the family of the past, not to be surprised if she had a dark haired, dark eyed child with darker skin tones. She never had such but I took that and kept it in my mind in case I had a child like that. My daughter was born with a natural looking suntan and my son was whiter than me. It just depends.
