It should be 12 - 14 hours.
I would try to play a CD with a nice relaxing sound, maybe nature sounds, on repeat in the background. Just on low volume.
That way the other little noises wont wake him/her.
And it should keep him asleep.

Hello, our children are the same age, My little girl isn't very good at day time naps, but makes up for it by sleeping through a whole 12 hours at night. have you thought about missing out the day time nap and replacing it with some quiet time and making a new ealier bedtime?

Is his room too busy?  Perhaps alot of distracting and bold decor?  I know I had that problem with my second to oldest child, Justy.  I did some research and found that sticking to colors like blue, in a med. to light shade could help.  Something to do with blue being a calming color.  Also I not only bathed him in lavender scented baby products before bed, but put a potpourri crock in his room filled with water and several drops of lavender essential oils.  I found this to be quite helpful, but as it turned out the little guy had ALOT of ear infections and was just not one to complain, so once they put tubes in his ears he did far better. I am not sure if it was a combo. of the medical intervention or the aroma therapies, and color scheme changes.  But something helped (lol).  Best of luck to you and I hope this helps.

Vandana, I think it is around 14 hours a day of the top of my head. you could try playing classical music very quitly in their room something like Bach.

I hope this helps.
