Sleep

I'm not a mum. I'm a teenager. But I need advise. At night I usually try to go to sleep around 12 I fall asleep around 3-4 am but then I have a nightmare (sometimes about my past and then sometimes just Random stuff) so during the bad dream I wake up. After i wake up i stay up for a little bit and try to go back to bed after about an hour. I succeed sometimes. But then I wake up again and that time I stay up. It's very complicated to explain and I don't want to talk to my mum about it (for reasons). I don't have bad dreams every night. Right now it's 5:30am. I'm very tired and I put my phone down for more than two hours to try and fall asleep. But I can't seem to sleep. I did research and everything is telling me I could have a disorder or whatever. But I doubt it. But I have not slept at all today. Not since 12 pm. I'm so confused and stressed and I want to sleep but can't. Its really frustrating. Help me?

What's going on that you can't talk to your mom, Alyssa? Is there another adult around (grandparent, aunt, uncle, dad) that you could talk to?

You do need sleep, and it's good that you recognize that. If you're having trouble, it could be many things, and a physical with your doctor would be a good place to start. If you don't feel that your mother would understand, then please try to talk to another adult that you are close to.
