How can I correct the bad habit of holding my daughter while she sleeps to letting her fall asleep on her own? (she's a month old)

Listen to your mother instinct! And dont listen to those people who say its not good.

Your baby just spent 9 months curled up inside of you, comforted by you heartbeat, your voice, and the warmth and cosiness of your womb. And yet, for some reason, we (as in society) expects that suddenly the baby is removed from this environment and within a period of one month, shouldn't need these things to help them sleep. Can you see something wrong with this picture?

Your baby is one month old. This is not a bad habit. Your baby is wanting what comes naturally because that is what you have provided for the last 10 months.

Thank you for the comments it is helpful. I want to hold and cuddle her while she sleeps but everyone says it's going to be hard for me to break that habit. They say that she'll depend on me to fall asleep. Being a new mom it's kind of frustrating to listen to everyone.
