My baby is 16 weeks old. This past week has been very tiring. She usually went down for sleep round about 20:00 until somewhere between 1 and 4 for a feed and then at 6am. Now she is crying almost every hour. Ahe has been chewing her hands from 8weeks and forr the past 3 weeks she has been pulling on her ear. I know it can be the teething. Should I take her to the doctor?

teethiing. they have many homepathic and natural options for pain relief and teethers you can put in freezer. I got one of those pacifiers made of mesh and I put pieces of frozen fruit in it, he loved it. from now until 2 something they are going to be filling up their gumlines with toofers!! Be prepared. Teething can also give them loose stools, low grade fever, although your pediatrician will tell you otherwise. just ask any mom...

Until baby is 6 months you should not introduce solids, even through mesh. If baby has a fever, she may have an ear infection or teeing pain. Ear infections do not need to be treated in most cases, so it is ok to watch her for a bit. You can give infant Tylenol for pain and a frozen washcloth makes a great teether. Take a soft terry washcloth and run it under water, hold the center and make a tee-pee shape and freeze it, baby can chew away at those sore gums. Another thing to consider is a growth spurt, is baby getting enough to eat during the day?
