I have three and I am still learning. That is the joy and curse of parenting :) There is never a right answer.....just the answer that works for you. And when you think you have figured it out the next one challenges you on that. Talk with hubby....work out a plan that you both can go with. Think outside the box as to how you might be able to make it work for all. What can you both compromise on?

My husband and I have a waterbed, so none of our kids were able to come to bed with us in the middle of the night as that would be very unsafe. It saved us from getting into that habit down the road, but there were still nights that we had kids that wanted to be up in the middle of the night and parents that wanted to be sleeping. The couch and the recliner got their use, but since it was not our bed it also helped us to not rely on the couch or recliner as an easy fix.

I would try to not feed him and not put him in your bed at night. At 10 months he should not be needing night time feedings, so he might be waking more out of habit and wanting the comfort of a feeding or your bed. I would just try to soothe him in his room. One thing to look at is if when he wakes more often are those the times he is teething? If that is the case maybe allowing him to chew on a cold rage instead of feeding him may help soothe him better.

It isn't unusual for a child this age not to be sleeping through the night. What do you mean by sleeping through? How much is he sleeping? What is his daytime schedule?

I have the same problem. He's not wanting to sleep in his bed at all my boy is almost 10months he knows between formula and Breast milk and let me say that he prefers breast milk. Which is fine but how do I get him back in his bed and not mine. Ps he sleeps while breast feeding. And he doesn't like his teethers. Although his uppers and lowers already came out recently.
