my daughter is 7 weeks old and wont sleep on her own, i made the mistake of having her sleep in our bed. i would like her to sleep in her crib in her own room but she wont have anything to do with it, we tried a bassenett in our room beside the bed but wont go in it. as soon as she is put down she wakes up right away. but if she is in our bed she will sleep but we dont.

Every kid and family situation is different. My twin girls never spent a night in our bed once they got in their own room (at 3 months) and only occasionally before that. They slept great.

My son spent the first 5 months of his life sleeping upright on me while I was propped upright in bed.

I hope you find a solution that works for every member of your family soon!

MY DAUGHTER SLEPT IN MY BED UNTIL SHE WAS ABOUT 4-5 MTHS THEN SHE WAS OK WITH SLEEPING ALONE IN HER CRIB. I WOULD SAY IF YOU REALLY WANT HER TO SLEEP ALONE MAKE A RECORDING OF YOUR HEART AND BREATHING AND PUT IT IN A TEDDY BEAR OR SOMETHING SOFT THAT SHE COULD SLEEP WITH AND IT SHOULD HELP. MAYBE THAT IS ALL YOU NEED.

She has spent 9 months sleeping next to your heart, feeling your body heat, listening to your heart beat .... to sleep alone after 7 weeks might be hard for her to do. I don't know what's right for others. My daughter slept with me and I would do that again if I had another.
