My 9 month old will awake 6 to 7 times every night. I BF exclusively and give her solid food 4 times during the day. . Mainly vegetables, rice and fruit. Meat sometimes. She only gets tiny amount of whole milk with cereal in the morning otherwise just bf ... she has a very healthy weight gain too but I can't figure out why she continues to wake up so often.

Thank you for your comments. I am going to try to not nurse her even though she brings the house down if I make her wait for even 1 second.

My daughter always woke frequently when teething, sometimes other than the frequent night waking we didn't know she was teething until the tooth ame through. She ws exclusively breastfed with some formula supplementation while I was working and only on solids twice a day at that point, for her it was comfort to ease the pain.

When she wakes what do u do? I would not do any whole milk yet. Her stomach is still pretty little for that yet. If she is waking 6 to 7 times at night it sounds like it is more habit. I would try to give her 10 min. Or so before u go in to her room. Babies will wake throughout the night and if given the chance will settle themselves. If u r nursing her when she wakes I would try to hold off. If she is waking that much at night it is not due to hunger. Try to soothe her other ways.
