You cannot train a newborn to self soothe herself. Just keep her awake and stimulated durring the day and make sure she is well fed and comfortable durring the night. You need to give her lots of love and cuddles when she cries because that is how she will bond with you. When the bond has been formed and she's about 5 months old you can work on teaching her sleep through the night without shattering her world.

Do you have a bed time routine. I would give my daughter a good feeding before bed and then change her put bed time lotion on her sing her song and put her down. Seeings how your lil one is only 5 days she still has her cord so after her cord falls off give her bath before her feeding swaddle her up tight and put her down I also agree with amy. I know your tired and want to sleep when baby does, but keep her up as much as you can during the day. don't just let her sleep the whole day away. Babies that young do need as much sleep as possible but they need it more at night time. so keep her up for a couple hours between feedings to get her use to the day time.

Make sure she got a really good feeding before bed. Swaddle her. Mine did not sleep well at 5 days either so its normal. Also make sure she does not have her days and nights mixed up. My 1st did and was wanting to be up off and on though out the night. Make sure she sleepes in sunlight during the day what I mean by that is have the blinds open and then at night have the light on till bed time. When she wakes for a feeding little light and don't talk to much to her just feed change when needed to and put her back to be. My little guy goes to be about 10 and wakes up at 4ish. Last two nights its been 6ish or 5:30 ish so it takes time. He is 2 months almost 3 months now
