Sleepwalking Child

My daughter for the past year has been waking up at the same time every night and she will sleep walk. She walks around the house and mumbles, sometimes I'll wake up and she'll be standing over my bed just staring at me. Does anyone have any suggestions cause it is really scaring me??? She has no memory of these episodes

I used to be a sleepwalker. Like Dove's daughter, it was generally only when I needed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.
I totally agree with her suggestion. Just gently guide your daughter back to bed. Make sure the house is safe for her. I would definitely suggest getting some locks to put on the outside doors. Get the ones that are put high up or even on the top of the door. I've had a couple of friends who have sleep walked right out of the house.
It's quite probable that she'll grow out of it, but it may be something to bring up to your doctor. He may suggest going to a sleep clinic where your daughter can be monitored while she sleeps to find out exactly what's going on. I wouldn't worry about it too much though :)
Good luck :)

It's normal. Make sure the house is safe and if you see her just guide her gently back to bed.

One of my kid's used to do this a lot. Only when she had to pee though. She almost never gets up to pee in the middle of the night now, but when she does I will usually find her sleeping in the living room in the morning.
