Sliding Glass Door Locks?
Oh hey, what about like a pull up bar they sell in sports stores? You take them and screw the outwards until they are super snug in the door frames & they have rubber stoppers on the ends. they make ones that are just the rod & you could put it up high enough where they can't get to it.

Thank you, Shelly. We have a wooden stick in the door similar to how you described, but my 2 year old has learned how to lift it out of the track and open the door. Maybe something that is a tighter fit would work better! I was also thinking that a tension rod in the top of the door frame would work, if I could find one that is strong enough to resist the push of the door.
Ah, I have the same problem. I took a dowel rod (a round long piece of wood a little bigger around than a pencil) from home depot & cut it slightly longer than the lenght of the door. I wedge it in the part of the door where one part slides into the other, it is also tight enough at little fingers can't pull it out at least for now. Cost me about $2, totally old school but it works. I tied a small piece of ribbion around one end to help me pull it out if it gets too stuck. Or you can take the same dowel rod & wedge it up higher on the door where little fingers can't reach it. No not the prettiest but it has been working for years. Your hubby would probably know exactally what I'm talking about.
