Solid Foods

Hi, my daughter is now 8 months old, we relocated from Kenya about 3 weeks ago. She was feeding fine for the first 3 days and after is not taking any solid foods, I have tried various combinations and new foods and textures but she is not having any of it. She will still have her milk but no food. I have been really worried/exhausted and don't know what could be the matter. Please advice.

It is absolutely necessary that your baby ONLY have breastmilk or formula at the moment (not regular milk). With regard to solid foods, some children don't take to it straight away. You need to just try each day, but ultimately, an infant's main nutrition comes from breastmilk or formula at this age. As long as you just keep trying, eventually she will take something. My son was hungry as a horse and ate well right from 6 months, but my daughter wouldn't eat solids much until she was about 9 or 10 months. Both are healthy children (one now nearly an adult), so don't worry too much.
