As Michelle has said there is no cure. It is a life long path to be taken with that particular child. Therapy is one thing that can help train the child to do things like the normal people do. Setting up a schedule, being consistent, and always involved will make things easier but not always. It takes work, dedication, and love to help a child with any form of Autism get through it their entire lifetime. My own son has been diagnosed with a form of Autism and is almost done with school. He is high functioning and so in looking at how he is you'd never know he had it. We have had issues in past times that required extra help with therapy and other services such as school provided for his education. Today he is well adjusted and well rounded. He plans to go into mechanics for a career. It can be done and dealt with and does not have to be depressing. I look at my son as the one person in the world that sees the world from a different prospective than I do and that makes me proud of him. Just look for services in your area that can either help you or direct you to doctors, therapists, and other forms of help to get what you need for your son.
