Some imput please

Ok I dont normally like letting other people into my every day life but I figure with all the moms this sight has I might as well get some sugestions. My son (9 years) is literally afraid of everything, even during the day if he has to go upstairs for something he needs to turn a light on, he hears sirens from ambulance, fire truck or police and he thinks its a bomb siren! The weather terrifies him every time it starts gettin cloudy he thinks a tornado is gonna come... I could go on and on and on. I dont know if I should take him to the doctor for anxiety meds or what, I do know I really dont want him on medication and im not sure if there is anything natural that he could take. At first i figured he was just a bit more sensitive than others or a little more scared generally but its just ridiculous now.

I agree take him to get help, They may or may not put him on meds, I also think a therapist could help him learn different ways to help with the situations. don't be afraid to ask for help, it will make life easier better for all of you.

Good luck

I would get help from a professional, honestly. This sounds like a serious phobia. I don't like the idea of medicating kids, but if you take him to a shrink he could learn coping mechanisms which will work better than what he's doing now.
